Procedure for handing over a found item to the owner:

Before taking over the item, the owner is obliged to prove credibly that he is the owner of the found item. A sworn statement is considered sufficient - stating the description of the lost item, specifying the time of loss, or the testimony of another person. At the same time, he must present an identity card.

In the event that AUTO-BEY s.r.o. incurs costs in connection with the safekeeping and delivery of the found item, the owner is obliged to pay these before handing over the item

The owner or authorized holder is obliged to pay AUTO-BEY s.r.o. a find fee, which is 10% of the market price of the find, before handing over the item. If the item is of insignificant value but of special importance to the owner (a souvenir, a favorite item, etc.), he is obliged to pay the found item fee at his discretion.

A record will be made of the release of the found item, stating the owner's identity, a description of the released item, the amount of the found item fee paid, the amount of additional costs paid, the date of handover of the item, and the owner's signature.

Found items that AUTO-BEY s.r.o. will not store or accept for safekeeping:

perishable items such as food, feed
heavily soiled, smelly, damp or mouldy items
visible damaged or broken items, non-functional electronics
items that are apparently worthless and of no value to the owner
weapons, ammunition, explosives, documents for weapons, etc. - these are immediately handed over to the police or the municipality at the place of discovery
personal documents and cash - these are handed over to the municipality in whose territory they were found after 3 days, when the owner cannot be contacted and the owner does not pick up the found item, cash over CZK 10,000 is handed over to this municipality immediately
